Nationwide Exit Solutions Review
Nationwide Settlement Solutions Review
Timeshare exit company, Nationwide Settlement Solutions, might be able to help you get out of your timeshare ownership. Founded in 2011, Nationwide Settlement Solutions is based in Springfield, Missouri.
There are a few things of note on Nationwide Settlement Solutions’ website. The first thing we notice is the company’s promise of a 100% success rate at timeshare cancellation. However the company later claims that they have to ensure their customers are eligible for Resort Timeshare Fraud Victims status before they can begin work. There is not additional information provided for those who do not qualify for Resort Timeshare Fraud Victims status. This leads us to believe Nationwide Settlements Solutions’ promise only applies to those who have been defrauded.
Nationwide Settlement Solutions also promises to help customers “navigate the cooling-off period process.” Cooling-off periods are a block of time – typically one to two weeks – where new timeshare owners are, by state law, able to cancel their timeshare purchase for a full refund. Nationwide Settlement Solutions’ statement gives us pause because anyone who has recently purchased a timeshare should be able to take advantage of their state’s cooling-off period without having to pay a company for help.
Timeshare owners who are not interested in working through the cooling-off period themselves might benefit from Nationwide Settlement Solutions’ help, but we do not feel that level of assistance is helpful necessary.
Nationwide Settlement Solutions Customer Reviews
Reviews on Nationwide Settlement Solutions’ website are all positive. Reviews on other platforms (Yelp, Google, etc.) are also relatively positive. Feedback on the company’s Better Business Bureau (BBB) page, however, might be cause for some concern.
As of June, 2018, Nationwide Settlement Solutions earned themselves an “F” rating with the BBB. There are dozens of complaints from consumers, as well as statements of false or misleading advertising messages. Additionally, Nationwide Settlement Solutions is owned by Michael Miles, who also owns American Settlement Services, which also has numerous BBB complaints against it.
Nationwide Settlement Solutions Cost and Fees
Nationwide Settlement Solutions does not specify a cost for their services, which is normal for a timeshare cancellation company.
The company’s BBB complaints cite costs ranging from $2,500 to $8,995. Given the company’s promise of a 100% money-back guarantee, we can assume they ask for payment up front.
When it comes to up-front payments, we always recommend using a company with an escrow payment option for extra peace of mind when cancelling your timeshare. Learn more about escrow and how it can help you avoid scams here (link). An escrow option helps keep you and your money protected regardless of the timeshare company’s financial status.
